Description

The project manager is responsible for leading a project from its inception to execution. This includes planning, execution and managing the people, resources, budget, timelines, risk and scope of the project, recommending alternative strategies to keep the project within thresholds or ensuring escalation to appropriate program manager (head of project portfolio), project team and governing bodies if necessary. Project managers must have the discipline to create clear and attainable objectives and to see them through to successful completion. The project manager has full responsibility and authority to complete the assigned project.

Engineering is primarily concerned with the installation and application of developed solutions, the maintenance of facilities, infrastructure and equipment as well as the connection of services (water, chemicals, gases). Any other aspect in engineering like plant design, industrial programming, etc... may be concerned.

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities

• Individually or as part of a project team responsible for solution design and project execution/follow up.
• Responsible for the execution, coordination and follow-up of solution designs to ensure construction, transformation and commissioning/qualification of the solution meets agreed cost, timing, technology and quality standards in line with the Global Technical Services standards.
• Ability to direct several projects, manage different project phases and coordinate project team.
• Has specialized technical or practical expertise in one or more areas and knowledge of project management software and method.
• Demonstrate strong mindset of Safety awareness from design to end of execution.
• Ensure work inspections are issued in line with quality standards and systems legal conformity.
• Coordinate technicians during execution to secure contracts and connection of utilities and electricity.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a University degree preferably with a scientific orientation (Engineering, Science) and 5 years of experience. S(h)e is fluent in French and English and is familiar with SAP, MS Project, MS Office and a PM Certification is a plus.

The candidate should be aware of management of Safety policies and sensitive to workers’ attitude toward these policies.

A proven Project Management experience with capability of working independently on multiple small projects, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines by following and applying PMBOK methodology is a must.

The candidate should have excellent organization skills and ability to operate effectively in a multicultural, matrix organization where the workload requires balancing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
