Barco Diagnostics offers hardware, software & service solutions for the diagnostic imaging markets.

Within the R&D department of this business unit, we are looking for an R&D manager to manage all projects & activities with regards to embedded software and hardware development.

Key Responsibilities

You own the strategy in the areas of video, audio, data processing, ...

You are responsible for the team contributions in the projects concerning: hardware development and attached embedded/application software

You assist the NPI (new product introduction) Project managers on planning, scheduling, execution and status reporting of the work items

You define the portfolio of assets, libraries with associated roadmaps

You work with our corporate technogy center & innovation group on related innovation programs

You take part in the partner selection in close collaboration with our procurement team

You take part in the selection and global unifaction of the used toolchains

You assist the multimediaboards r&d team on technology selection (Soc, fpga, ...)

Your Profile

You have a higher technical degree combined with 10 or more years of relevant experience in hardware of embedded software engineering

You have a deep understanding of processes & tools related to the embedded software domain

You have the necessary coaching & people management skills to lead an international, cross-cultural team

You are familiar with agile development methodologies

You are willing to travel globally
