Job Purpose and Impact

The R&D Starch Specialist will apply innovative technology to help drive the development of new products and processes for the Food Starch and Maltodextrine segment. In this role, you will support the team and provide analytical knowledge to generate and analyze critical data.

Key Accountabilities
  • Build and conduct scientific experiments, analyze and interpret the results prior to effectively communicate results to diverse scientific teams (including detailed report).
  • Define, follow up and analyze lab trials and participate to pilot and production trials ;
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Identify and resolve first line troubleshooting analytical instrumentation.
  • Conduct analytical samples, experiments following standards including the proposal disposal of wastes according to environmental health and safety guidelines in a high safety focused environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master degree in a related field (Chemistry, Carbohydrate chemistry, Analytical) or equivalent experience
  • Proven working knowledge of analytical instrumentation principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Efficient and rigorous in the technical work
  • Ability to be critical and synthetic
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Capability to plan & prioritize and reach objectives with autonomy
  • Capability to write reports & present results and collaborate with team members
  • Curious, innovative, proactive and open to new technologies
  • Good level in English (written and spoken)
