WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The CMS Regional Logistics Specialist is responsible for leading the execution related to transportation, distribution, warehousing, international trade compliance (export, import and custom’s regulations) and packaging in the defined region. The incumbent will drive optimization of a complex network while driving cost out of the business, improvements into the operation, and facilitate a strategic outlook that will better serve all stakeholders such as sales, manufacturing and CSC.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Manage and support a logistics structure in a later defined subregion of Europe.
  • Manage and lead a set of external warehouses in the region including being the key contact with the local safety advisors

This includes

  • developing an optimum warehousing/distribution model to drive the most efficient flow of materials and products at a value cost,
  • assisting in price negotiating, terms and conditions,
  • developing a comprehensive data suite of warehousing metrics, summary and detail, to drive service performance and cost management.
  • Actively participate in developing a long-term strategy for SUEZ WTS logistics to deliver world-class logistics driving optimization, standardization, and overall efficiency.
  • Partner with the key stakeholders, including OTR, manufacturing, commercial teams (sales & service) and PSI, driving continuous improvement ensuring on-time, complete and compliant deliveries to our customers.
  • Responsible for SUEZ WTS logistics operations that supports CMS in the defined region.
  • Participate in councils (QMI, …) in the region to optimize our logistics processes for the CMS P&L.

Manage and follow up the DTW budget for the region, this includes:

  • Monthly review of freight spend in cooperation with SC Finance;
  • Identify gaps and trends;
  • Freight auditing of DTW invoices in close cooperation with AP and SC Finance
  • Responsible for driving reduction in costs by using network optimization tools and strategies, including transportation management system and mode shifts.
  • Manage, coordinate and follow up performance 3rd party providers for the region.
  • Develop and own SOP’s for Ocean and Air shipping.
  • Support distribution teams for Ocean and Air shipments

  • OTD performance based upon ADD
  • On-time in Full Pick up Performance
  • VCP for Freight
  • DTW budget
  • Carrier related quality complaints

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master/Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, Supply Chain
  • Showing business/financial acumen, potential to lead and set direction to cross functional teams/peers, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization
  • Languages: English is a must. Other: Italian, Spanish, French are a plus
  • Location: TBD

  • Experience in Import and export ocean & air shipments
* Holder of a valid ADR, IMDG and IATA certification or able to require within 6 months can be a plus
