For GEA Process Engineering NV we are looking for an enthusiastic sales engineer for the Business Unit Liquid and Filling Technologies, working on new Food technologies. This role will be based in Kontich but you can also work from home. As Sales Engineer Liquid and Filling Technologies you will sell projects in Belgium and Luxembourg:
- 80 % of your time you will spend in developing and growing our project business in the food industry with a strong focus on new food applications (biotech for food and food ingredients, plant based food and beverages, insect based proteins, bioreactor grown meat,..)
- 20 % of your time you will spend to manage our existing customer portfolio in the food industry.
- Actively prospect the market to find new customers to grow our project business.
- Manage our project business for the existing customer portfolio and grow where possible.
- Be present in the field and attend local and international trade fairs, customers, and networking events. Establish and manage customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for pre-sales, offer management, negotiation and deal closing.
- Build up expertise in project sales.
- Work closely together with adjoining sales and engineering colleagues in the region.
- Bachelor or master’s degree level, predominantly commercial with technical affinity / background or equivalent.
- Knowledge in food applications is a prerequisite.
- Minimal 3 years sales experience in capital goods in the local food industry.
- Experience in project sales is an advantage.
- Excellent and proven sales and negotiation skills.
- Good relationship and people management skills.
- Developed business sense and basic analytical skills.
- Strong planning and organisation skills with result focus.
- Strong will to develop new business and pioneer in a new market segment.
- Languages: English, French and Dutch fluent in speech and writing
