For our customer, an international ICT integrator, we are looking for a Security Engineer in West-Flanders.


Domains:
  • Firewall (Checkpoint)
  • VPN (Pulesecure)
  • Web application Firewall (F5)
  • Allround (network) security
  • Optional: Telephony (Avaya/Genesis)

Description
  • is preferably deep technical, broadly skilled and able to see the bigger picture (conceptual).
  • able to process any type of question, change and/or project in above domains by doing it by themselves or work it out with our partners.
  • The engineer remains the end-responsible for the execution of changes in above domains and is capable to technically discuss/defend proposed solutions with the other colleagues within the IT Infra team and with suppliers.

On short term, following activities will be assigned:
o execute day-to-day FW changes (changes, projects) until hand-over to support (+/- 4 months). Then we assume this will be part of managed services
o execute day-to-day VPN requests (external suppliers)
o move an affiliate (Turkey) to the central VPN solution
o Decommision / remove the old Azure firewall and move to the new Azure network HUB
o Setup new Checkpoint log server (CRF)



Requirements


Skills
  • Strong technical in networking & security
  • Capable to design and/or discuss (new) technical solutions
  • Coordinate & follow-up tasks within projects (work with external parties)
  • Speaks & writes fluently in English & Dutch
  • Problem solver & takes ownership
  • Analytic and accurate
  • Independent
  • Willing to travel abroad when needed for a few days
  • Fulltime availability
