Job DescriptionAs part of our renewables business, C&I Solutions specializes in helping commercial and industrial clients transition to sustainable energy through customized, scalable solutions. Our team works with businesses to implement comprehensive renewable energy systems - from solar installations and wind turbines to EV charging infrastructure - while ensuring minimal disruption to their operations and maximum return on investment.
At C&I Solutions, you will be guiding clients through their renewable energy journey, designing and developing solutions that can scale from single-site installations to interconnected multi-site networks. Your role will be crucial in understanding each client’s unique needs and growth trajectory, creating flexible energy solutions that evolve with their business while maximizing efficiency and sustainability gains at every step.
Virya Energy is launching a new Commercial & Industrial (C&I) division to develop innovative energy solutions in Belgium. To lead this initiative, we are looking for a dynamic Senior Business Developer to lead business development activities, strengthen market leadership and establish strategic partnerships. You will play a key role in delivering customized energy solutions that enable C&I partners to improve their operations and achieve sustainable growth.
Business development
- Identify and secure partnerships with key industry players.
- Develop and maintain strong satisfaction with key clients and stakeholders.
- Define and execute the business development strategy for the Belgian C&I market.
- Drive adoption of integrated energy solutions, including renewable assets, energy management systems, EV charging infrastructure, and Power Purchase Agreements.
- Ensure revenue growth and profitability for the business unit.
Leverage a deep understanding of the Belgian energy market, including trends, pricing knowledge, regulatory frameworks and energy incentives.
Job requirements
- Energy background: Proven experience in the Belgian energy market, with a focus on renewable energy solutions such as solar, BESS, and/or EV chargers.
- B2B experience: Proven track record in B2B business development and sales leadership.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and managing a team.
- Relationship builder: Strong relationship-building capabilities, with a history of successful client and stakeholder engagements.
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, or related fields.
- Language: Fluency in Dutch, French and English.
- Personal attributes: Innovative, forward-thinking, and a passion for driving sustainable energy solutions.
