Senior CAD Designer (EMEA)

Responsibilities :

• Creates Proposal Drawings as per instruction/sketch from Project Design Engineer and Customer RFQ requirements.
• Creates drawing ’building blocks’ to ensure up-to-date and complete standard CAD library for internal/external use.
• Uploads Proposal Drawings into drawing database available for EU IAF Sales.
• Creates required Proposal Drawing revisions as required and follows-up properly.
• Able to train & coach other CAD Designers to improve Design level
• Follow-up on CAD subcons to ensure work done correctly and timely
• Suggesting new/improved concepts, designs and tools based on technical requirements
• Able to act as backup for PDT Engineer for all non-complex requests

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree (or Master) in electro-mechanical Engineering or equivalent through experience.

Experience : Minimum 2-4 years in CAD 3D and 2D drafting drawing creation on industrial projects in quote or engineering phase.

Specific knowledge/skills/competences (Senior):

• Proven (Advanced) skills of SolidWorks (3D CAD), NX (3D CAD) and Teamcenter (PLM software).
• Good (In depth) understanding about IAF systems/products and the quote process.
• Good (In depth ) knowledge on manufacturing processes/technologies of applied IAF products.
• Good (In depth ) knowledge on used IAF controllers, electrical wiring and sensors.
• Good knowledge of basic Office programs.
• Fluency in English (oral and written). Any other major European language (German, French, Italian, …) is an asset.
• Strong team player and good (excellent) communicator with rest of the EU Project Design Team colleagues and other internal/external contacts.
• Flexibility to travel through Europe on rare occasion.
• Very motivated to continuous improve CAD Design skills, share knowledge actively to improve team performance, and adapt to changes
