Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Function

Do you want to be part of creating the production process for the next generation of Barco products, from top-of-the-line Healthcare monitors to the most advance laser projectors on the market today?

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design engineer to develop our new production systems. From setting up new production cells with robotics, motion & vision systems, introduction of new products to continuous improvement of existing processes . You will also work closely together with R&D to review their designs and provide your inputs, so the products are producible in the most efficient way possible.

You will have a variety of tools & methodologies at your disposal: Creo (incl. creo simulate, Flo EFD,…), 3D printers, proto-workshops, worldwide suppliers. You will be part of a team of young and more seasoned Engineers which will support you to get you up to speeds as soon as possible. You profile
  • You have a Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Relevant experience in mechanical design
  • You have knowledge of:
    • Creo, or similar CAD software package
    • Experience in machine & product design, ( eg. Sheetmetal, materials, ..
  • You gain energy from creating and implementing creative and innovative solutions
  • You take the lead in new challenging projects
  • You can handle multiple tasks/projects in parallel , sometimes changing in priorities
  • You are positive, assertive and you have a “can do” mentality
  • You always challenge the status quo
  • You communicate fluently, both written and spoken, in English and Dutch
