The Center of Expertise

Media & Marketing Intelligence

“With our bold innovative media strategy, we improve our brand consideration and support business priorities by measuring what we do, increasing ROI and lowering cost per acquisition.” The teams is headed by an Expert Lead who is end-to-end responsible for media, marketing intelligence and production house and reports to the Head of CoE Comms, Brand and Marcom.


Sr. Media Manager

Within the Mediateam, the Sr. Media Manager will report to the Expert Lead and will work closely with Marcom, branding and business colleagues.

In this role you will oversee the E2E paid media campaigns for a specific product/segment within the Belgian market. You constantly work on maximizing campaign impact, in close cooperation with ING’s media and creative agencies. You have a good knowledge of Digital Marketing in general, and are able to deal with social media, online media and offline media campaign. You will manage a wide range of internal stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

You will be responsible of the paid media strategy, campaign development and performances for one or several products. Key is your ability to understand the needs of the business and translate these into successful campaigns and to grasp technical and data opportunities to help business forward.

  • Lead and define the media strategy for one or several products to further optimize KPI’s
  • Managing media campaigns (briefing, monitor set-up and optimization, reporting) and challenge the media agency on off-on-social media strategies
  • Monitor media campaign performance in detail, run all necessary deep dive analyses in order to better understand the markets and make optimizations to meet targets KPI’s
  • Present regular mid- end reports, collect best practices and provide recommendations
  • Provide feedback to the business on paid media results and opportunities
  • Define and launch -experiments to improve the effectiveness of advertising spend
  • Advice on future technology product capabilities, help shape media roadmap
  • Work closely with different stakeholders to optimize campaigns towards defined KPIs

As Sr. Media Manager you will also need:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in marketing or other relevant degree
  • 5-10 years professional experience
  • Data driven attitude: true data curiosity and the ability to derive new insights
  • Strong multitasking, accuracy, and prioritizing skills in fast paced environment
  • Excellent level in Dutch, French and English spoken and written
  • Creative approach to problem solving; always looking for improvements
  • Proven experience of developing and implementing paid media campaigns
  • Ability (or clear willingness) to work with Adobe Real-Time CDP, Google Marketing Platform (search, DSP, adserver), Meta Business Manager and tag manager.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Belgian media & publisher landscape
