Company Description

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company which provides a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. It believes it is the world leader in food, environment, pharmaceutical and cosmetics products testing and in agroscience CRO services.

It is also one of the global independent market leaders in certain testing and laboratory services for genomics, discovery pharmacology, forensics, CDMO, advanced material sciences and for supporting clinical studies. In addition, Eurofins is one of the leading global emerging players in specialty clinical diagnostic testing. In 2020, Eurofins generated €5.4bn proforma turnover, from 800 laboratories across 50 countries, and employs about 50,000 staff.

Job Description

With over 50,000 staff across a decentralised and entrepreneurial network of more than 800 laboratories in over 50 countries, each laboratory acts as an independent company within the Eurofins global network. The leaders of these Business Units, as well as Eurofins functional leaders, can be recruited by local recruitment teams or, more commonly, by the Group Talent Acquisition Team at our Group Service Centre (GSC).

Within this, the Group Offer Team is a critical component of our GSC and collaborates closely with the Talent Acquisition teams across Eurofins’ active countries, working on all internal and external offers, transfers, and promotions of Eurofins Key Employees and Leaders. To achieve this, they also work closely with colleagues from the Payroll, Compensation and Benefits, Tax, and Legal departments.

As part of this team, you will participate to the implementation of best practices and strengthen current processes, supporting the team’s capabilities to advise on contracts, offer terms, compensation and benefits.

The Senior Offer Specialist will be the owner of the offer preparation, validation, and negotiation process for Key Employees and Leaders (KEL) hires, as well as new Employees in our Group Service Centre (GSC). For this, they will work in close collaboration with our HRBP team and the Tax, Legal, and C&B departments.

They will ensure that all relevant contractual data for KELs is managed, collected and stored centrally, so that this information is always up-to-date and available.

They will also work on preparing all such relevant information regarding contracts and compensation and benefit packages for existing and potential KELs and GSC employees, taking into account the scope and benefits under the different social security schemes. This includes analysing the impact of international employment on social security protection and advising on salary splits, secondments and other international employment structures, as well as international social insurance and withholding taxes.

They will also advise on drafting international contracts, particularly on non-compete clauses, notice periods, and Long-Term Incentive Plans, etc.

The decentralised organisation of the Group, in autonomous clusters and business units, enables subsidiaries to make decisions locally and maintain much independence; however, some topics and initiatives of a global nature, especially those concerning Key Employees and Leaders, benefit from structured coordination. It will therefore be the challenge of the Senior Offer Specialist to train the local Managers on Eurofins processes in relation to Offer Validation.

Additionally, you will be involved in ongoing and future key Global Projects. For instance, one of your first key projects will be the further development of a Global Network to support with building globally robust processes and offers.
