My client is a leading Global Pharmaceutical company requiring a Senior Technology Manager to join their team.

Located in Belgium, in this role you will be working on and solving real-world problems for one of the worlds leading big Pharma companies. You will be required to mange a team of technical staff, leading technical scientific projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical strategy and decision-making in support of the R&D team mission focusing on analytical and visualisation needs of the company. Allow business partners to establish data assets to push advanced analytical visualisations, artificial intelligence, and digital automation.
• Optimise business operations and facilitate breakthrough insights with R&D.
• It is expected that the team will drive direct business benefit measured by cost, quality and/or compliance to business partner functions across the organisation.
• Provide inspirational leadership within R&D for Analytical Visualization/ Machine Learning / Cognitive Automation technical domain and be recognized as an authority in the field.
• Integrate across teams and be responsible for delivery timeline.
• Responsible for working closely with Business and Technology Leaders to propose ground-breaking operational efficiencies.
• Govern compliance impacts: : IT Security & Risk Management, legal, GxP, SOX, privacy, records management. Address complex problems with broad implications for IT architecture, balancing the often-competing needs of standardization and innovation.
• Technology specialist who operates analytical technology solutions
• Evaluate key technology trends and their impact on various business processes.
• Find opportunities for areas where technology provides driven differentiation. Investigate, identify, and prototype new technologies.
• Working closely with product line technology teams.
• Responsible for the solution reviews and driving design decisions, technical approvals across the application area.
• Co-ordinates with external vendors and deployment partners to ensure contracted results are met, timelines are agreed, and metrics using visualisations to communicate more complex data relationships and trends.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Vision, Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Medical Informatics, or a related subject area.
• Experience in design, development, and management of data life cycle for analytics applications using data warehouses/ data lakes or end-to-end automation.
• Experience in AI, preferably in the Pharmaceutical field.
• Experience in leading complex data solutions in an Agile/Scrum, Cloud-based environment, and deployments at a global scale on platforms such as Cloudera, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
• technical knowledge of analytics solutions, platforms, and software technology as it applied to business processes and business strategies
• Strong Business Sense & Communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, multiple partners, multi-functional teams, and evolving needs.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build collaborative partnerships, teams, and trust across functions.
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple franchises in an organization to drive the results
• working experience with advanced analytics, big data, and statistical analysis, and data science.

Preferred

• Experience in Life sciences, healthcare industry and/ R&D.
• Experience and knowledge delivering analytical solutions to support R&D experiences for healthcare providers.
