Senior UX/UI Designer - Ghent based

OTA Insight is a Revenue Management Intelligence Provider for the hospitality industry (our clients are individual hotels and major chains like Hilton, Accor, … ). OTA Insight dashboard provides rate intelligence for the hotels to increase their revenue by optimising the pricing of the rooms on various channels for various length of stays. We combine cutting edge technology and data analytics to provide business intelligence driving revenue management processes to maximise occupancy and rates for incremental revenues.

Today OTA Insight is present in more than 165 countries around the world and works with more than 55,000 independent, local and global chain properties.

We are looking for a full-time Senior UI/UX Designer in Ghent to join our Product Team. You will help design the products that fuel OTA Insight’s mission to empower hoteliers to make smart revenue and distribution strategies. You’ll have a direct impact on product strategy, roadmaps, and the detailed design of new experiences that help both the world’s biggest hotel chains such as Hilton and Best Western, as well smaller independent hotels, all over the world.

What you’ll do

You are a Senior UI/UX Designer who will help us create user interfaces that are simple and delightful. You have a strong UX background and have the ability to create experiences that not only feel good, but also look good. You can handle projects from A (concept) to Z (shipping and iteration) with little directions. You have a mastery of fundamental visual and interactive design disciplines and principals and have an exceptional eye for pixel-perfect detail. Basic Qualifications

• An available portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and creative problem solving.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar UX-related role for the web.

• Fluency in best practices for interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques.

• Experience creating prototypes and highly detailed wireframes for complex user flows in web applications.

• Fluency with user interface patterns for desktop and mobile experiences.

• Experience working with software developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Experience working in a tight design cycle and collaborating with the development team for design implementation.

• A deep understanding of interactions between customers in a wide age range and technology

• Fluency of digital prototyping

• You have at least 5 years of experience as UI/UX Designer

• A real interest in data visualization

• Love of creating effective visual designs, user flows, hi-fi wireframes/mockups, sitemaps, style guides, and web/mobile assets

• Experience working directly with PMs & engineers in a cross-functional, agile development environment with PMs & engineers

• You get energy of working in a high complex and challenging environment with a high tech product.

• You have excellent communication skills since your stakeholders will be technical experts, as well as business stakeholders.

• Thorough understanding of interactive, visual, UX, and information design principles

• Passion for addressing business challenges through design solutions

• Active participation in design communities; informed opinions on current design/UX trends

• Strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with OTA Insight’s leadership regarding design

• Fluency in Figma is a must
