Scope

As shipping coordinator, you are responsible for all local and export operations, which include managing forwarding agents, shipping lines, haulage, trucking, customs clearance, import & sales tax exemptions, and transportation.

Job Description

• Handle all transportation activities, such as importing/exporting, according to business plans and appropriate legislative requirements (Proforma invoice, ATA carnet, letter of credit, EUR1, certificate of origin, MSDS, Incoterms, etc.)
• Control and negotiate transport prices with the major shipping companies
• Coordinate shipments in cooperation with the production and warehouse teams according to business imperatives
• Be autonomous in the follow-up and resolution of problems related to shipments
• After gaining experience within the company, you will be required to take on other responsibilities such as:
• Be first-line contact to support operational business assistants, project engineer, and support engineer for all operational issues
• Be responsible for shipping equipment for large projects linked to international events (FIFA WORLD CUP, UEFA EURO, OLYMPIC, SUPER BOWL, etc.) in cooperation with all involved teams
• Manage licenses models related to the range of products developed by the company
• Active participation in the development and implementation of tools allowing the improvement of operational processes

Profile

• Graduate in foreign trade, logistic management, or 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar domain
• Knowledge of shipping procedures, practices, custom policies, and available means of transportation
• Experience using an ERP is a plus (DYNAMICS AX 2009, D365)
