Our client, a leading Software, Information, and Communication Technologies company, with offices around the globe, is looking for a Software Testerto join their innovative team in Brussels, Belgium.They are a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations, and multinational companies, research, and academic institutes.

Job Type:Contract/Consultant

Max Daily Rate: 280 EUR


Requirements

Ideal candidates should have:

  • University degree in IT or a related field and minimum 6 years of experience in IT analysis;

  • Experience in information system testing, including definition of test plans and test cases;

  • The consultant has to be fluent in English. Very good communication / writing skills in English.

  • Experience with different types of testing, testing strategies, objectives;

  • Experience with tools used for managing testing, e.g. of definition of test cases in JIRA;

  • Experience with testing on different internet browsers;

  • Experience with testing web-services / interoperability;

  • Experience with incident management tools;

  • Information system testing;

  • Agile development methodology;

Responsibilities:

  • Participation to development team’s meetings (e.g. stand up meetings);

  • Interaction with development team (project manager, business analysts, and developers) to understand the testing mandate and scope;

  • Definition of test plans. Definition of test cases. Construction of test scenarios and scripts;

  • Tests coordination and execution;

  • Documentation and reporting of test results;

  • Knowledge sharing with other testers: sharing of tester’s knowledge and experiences; discussing and improving testing strategies, objectives, reporting;

  • Possible assistance with 2nd level support.
