Function

Barco Healthcare is world leader in medical visualization. Increasingly our display products are sold as solutions, inclusive hardware (medical device displays), peripherals (internal and external graphic boards, touchpads), software applications (Intuitive Workflow Tools, PACS integration logic, AI applications, etc...) and network connectivity (video streaming (Nexxis), multimedia) . In order to sustain the increasing demand for full solutions in the D iagnostics and Surgical/Modality segment, Barco healthcare is seeking to hire a senior system architect.

Key Responsibilities
  • You are responsible for keeping the big picture view and generic roadmap on portfolio and technology for the Diagnostics and Surgical/Modality segment
  • You actively assist product management in industry monitoring & analysis and overall roadmap and product definition
  • You define the full system architectures driven by usecases and define the possible solution space
  • You are the interface and evangelist driving agenda for innovation programs across Barco
  • You assist the expert domain leads on articulation of domain specific strategies for key modules
  • You assist support functions in complex fault root cause analysis

We Are Looking For a Barco Colleague Who
  • Has a deep understanding of medical solutions, with particular emphasis on displays, networking, associated peripherals and software
  • Has a deep understanding of all aspects related to the assembly and manufacturing of displays
  • Has a deep understanding of all technologies involved in building visualization solutions (LCD, OLED, communication, color management, ....) and networking.
  • Demonstrates business acumen, understanding solution cost structures
  • Has affinity with the healthcare industry in general, visualization solution providers in particular
  • Is familiar with agile development methodologies
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills in an international and cross-cultural environment
