The Project Management team is a core part of the Our business, leading on a wide variety of projects that are directly driving business strategy. The programme contains in excess of 60 projects at any one time varying in scale from small change activity (any project under 15 days effort) to projects running over multiple years with multi-million pound budgets. The projects that the team of Project Managers drive are varied from technical development activity, using Scrum and Agile techniques at the core, through supporting product development and operational change to large scale multi work stream strategic change.

Reporting to the Head of Project Management this role will be required to support the management, delivery and oversight of the projects within Modix.

This includes (but not limited to)

Engage with colleagues throughout all the Cox Automotive Retail Solutions (CARS) business units
Engage with internal stakeholders throughout the business
Engage with external stakeholders (clients or 3rd parties)
Adheres to quality standards
Define project goal(s) and determine resources and skill sets required for project team in low complexity projects with the support of a more senior Project Manager.
Determine resources and skill sets required for project team.
Monitor activity progress against planning.
Manage internal and external/client project reporting and documentation.
Manage project risks with the support of a more senior Project Manager.
Manage project budget with the support of a more senior Project Manager
Maintain effective communication and keep clients and internal stakeholders up-to-date.
Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
Understand project goal(s), deadline and budget are well defined. Determine resources and skill sets required for project team.
Understand build of a detailled project plan with milestones to understand project delivery in time, budget and quality (client satisfaction).
Minimize uncertainty, avoid unwanted surprises and involve clients in the project as much as is reasonably possible.
Apply project management principles and methodologies in seeking solutions to project problems.
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
Assist with the cross-functional planning and delivery of the key project activities of the business.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate project personnel.
Understand quality of own deliverables.
Understand alignment of the project management function to internal process and procedures.
Understand industry best practices for project management.
Understand industry best practices for visualisation of plans.
Understand technical documentation.
Understand the communication plan guidelines.
Expectation management (internally and externally).
