JOB SUMMARY

3D Systems is looking for a Trade Compliance Manager with a passion for growth to work within its Trade Compliance Function to support the export/import management of all aspects of EMEA and APAC Export Control and Compliance, with a focus in EMEA (i.e., Belgium, Germany, and France), as they relate to 3D Systems’ business activities.

As a Trade Compliance Manager, you will provide a business support service including advice and guidance to 3D Systems’ business and functions to ensure the line of business remains compliant with EMEA (i.e., Belgium, Germany, France), APAC, and other relevant trade control laws and regulations.

Reporting to the Global Trade Compliance, Director you will partner with the Americas Trade Compliance team members and work closely with the Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Engineering functions (not limited to) to provide support, including advice and guidance, on International Trade Compliance matters in order to ensure compliance and in alignment with the Global Trade Compliance Program/Strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the trade compliance point of contact for internal customers across EMEA and APAC.
  • Serve as point of contact for Government Agencies within EMEA and APAC.
  • Develop partnerships with key departments within 3D Systems’
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with export/imports laws and regulations, as well as conforming with internal corporate policies and procedures
  • Oversee classifications accuracy within EMEA, and APAC
  • Manage tactical and strategic export licenses activities within EMEA and APAC region, with focus in EMEA (e.g., Belgium, Germany, France)
  • Manage and oversee Restricted Party Screening within EMEA, and APAC
  • Facilitate and administer “know your customer” program under applicable laws and company policies for subject products; determine and evaluate all “red flags”
  • Closely work with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Engineering on executing day-to-day operations for trade related activities within EMEA and APAC
  • Develop and manage work instructions, procedures for EMEA and APAC in alignment with policies and procedures
  • Deliver export control and trade compliance training to ensure partners and functions are briefed on and aware of trade compliance matters and relevant to their function
  • Communicate ongoing regulatory changes within the trade compliance team
  • Monitor (i.e., periodic audits, self-assessments) trade compliance program for EMEA and APAC in alignment with global trade compliance program

PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in trade compliance
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Belgium, German (i.e., BAFA) regulations. Experienced export control/trade compliance practitioner with
  • Detailed knowledge of Belgium and German Export Licensing, including Trade Controls
  • Good working knowledge of foreign import/export regulations, particularly EU Member States
  • Good working knowledge of UK/EU Customs regulations
  • Language Proficiency: Dutch, English, and German. Proficiency in French is a plus
  • Clear and concise written skills and verbal skills
  • Superior organizational skills, extraordinary attention to detail, and an optimistic mindset that allows for continual flexibility and improvement
  • Strong interpersonal/influencing skills to support decision-making based on credible knowledge of International Trade
  • Good all round computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Experience with APAC regulations, Oracle (ERP system) and Salesforce (CRM system) is a bonus
