As Transport Planner you manage road transport at local, regional and (inter) national level. You ensure the optimization of transportation of perishable and other goods by planning efficiently while keeping into account priorities and restrictions and keeping all stakeholders satisfied. You are in daily contact with drivers to ensure an optimal route and on time delivery with our customers.

  • Making arrangements with client (internal and external)
  • Gathering information regarding goods to deliver
  • Problem solving and adjusting of planning where needed while keeping the stakeholders informed
  • Point of contact for drivers, import and export departments
  • Planning the trips
  • Internal communication regarding the trip planning
  • Guidance of drivers during the trip and review their performance
  • Schedule and review workload and manpower to make sure targets are met with operational excellence
  • Administration and documentation after the trip planning
  • Securing compliance with local legislation and regulations

Profiel

  • Strong level verbal and written communication in Dutch, French and English
  • Knowledge of industry rules and regulations
  • Problem solver: fast and appropriate reaction to problems and timely follow up
  • Analytical abilities: analyze a situation, fact or problem by dividing it into smaller parts, identify links and provide solutions
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Stress resistant
  • Ability to receive and apply constructive criticism in a positive, professional manner
  • Ability to manage time and resources effectively within deadlines
