AniCura is a network of renowned veterinary clinics and centers specializing in veterinary care for pets. The company was founded on the idea that sharing knowledge and resources can improve veterinary care.

Together with 17 fellow veterinarians, 8 assistants, and several job students, AniCura Veterinary Center Hond & Kat provides quality second-line veterinary medicine. Furthermore, it is an emergency clinic open 24/24 and 7/7 where extensive intensive care is available.

With modern equipment and new techniques, our veterinarians and assistants try to help animals in the best possible way. There can be referred to us for medical imaging (ultrasound, radiography, and endoscopy), surgery and keyhole surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, stomatology, ophthalmology, further internist reprocessing, and oncology.

The Hond & Kat team is looking for a new colleague. Someone who wants to help realize the further growth of the clinic under the motto "Shaping the future of veterinary care, together", namely the best care for each patient.

A peek into your responsibilities

• You can independently manage consultations related to internal medicine.
• If necessary, you will receive supervision and guidance from the European Diplomate in Internal Medicine, Greet Junius, who works in our practice.
• You can always contact your colleagues for a second opinion, or if necessary you refer the patient within the practice to the appropriate colleague.
• You work closely with the assistants, they support you in consultation and together you are responsible for the follow-up of hospitalized patients.

Who are we looking for?

• You hold a master’s degree in veterinary medicine.
• You preferably have at least 3 years of practical experience
• You have a European degree in internal medicine, completed a residency program in this field or have experience and a strong interest in internal medicine.
• You are registered with the Belgian Veterinary Association.
• You are motivated to build up your knowledge and to learn.
• You are customer-friendly and service-oriented and always put the customer and the patient first.
• You see not only patients in need, but also colleagues. You enjoy building a good team atmosphere.
• You have a good sense of humor.
• You are stress-resistant and can deal flexibly with changing circumstances inherent to a multidisciplinary practice.

Apart-time position (days and hours to be agreed upon and an option for full-time would be possible further down the line) with an indefinite contract and compensation based on your performance.
