Board of Innovation is an independently owned business design and innovation strategy firm with offices in Antwerp, Amsterdam, New York, and Singapore. As part of this mission we’re partnering with one of the world’s best branding agencies to do a rebranding with the goal of positioning us as the leading independent business design agency we are aiming to become. Our Growth team leads this rebranding project and is in charge of rolling out the rebranding with everything that entails - from redesigning our core assets, to launching awareness campaigns around it.
About the team & culture:
In the role as Senior Graphic Designer, you will be a central part of this upcoming rebranding exercise. You will work closely with the branding agency to align on implementation of the visual identity, and steer a group of design freelancers to help carry out the redesign of all our assets - digital and physical. You will report to Signe, our marketing manager, and work with parts of the global leadership team and our in-house Digital Designer (focused on website rebuild) on the rebranding design implementation. This role is a 7 month full-time freelance contract, solely focused on the rebranding project - starting in February 2022.

You own the redesign of our core assets
- You implement the new visual identity across our assets: guides, publications, tools, digital toolkits, office signage, merchandise, client presentations, workshop materials, etc.
- You use your strong eye for aesthetics and visual details to ensure quality design across all assets
- Designing graphic content, illustrations, and infographics.
- Managing graphic designs from conception to delivery.
- You delegate and coordinate the design tasks for freelance designers to speed up the redesign process, review their work, and ensure that the quality of deliverables is high
- You ensure that all aspects of the redesign process are carried through to completion and meet the internal deadlines
- You ensure that the new brand guidelines contain all we need to design various assets
- You gather feedback from across the business on key redesigns and from the design/rebranding agency we are working with
- Strong experience in design of various branding assets (digital as well as physical)
- Proven work experience with graphic design
- Strong experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Figma, Google Slides, InVision, and other design software
- Experience leading a team of junior designers or freelance designers and ensuring high quality throughout execution
- Designing graphic content, illustrations, and infographics.
- Managing graphic designs from conception to delivery.
- Experience with and understanding of design principles, theories, and concepts
- Strong design aesthetic, an understanding of branding principles, style guides, layout, typography, and systematic design rationale
- Strong conceptual, problem solving and time-management skills; a broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions
