Context

Beeodiversity is a nature-tech company, offering a range of solutions to help companies and public entities to monitor and manage their impacts on biodiversity and pollution.

With support from the EIC Accelerator (project BeeOimpact, grant nr 190123465), Beeodiversity is developing a range of digital solutions/platforms to automate and scale its environmental monitoring services.

Starting in June 2024, Beeodiversity has been focusing on optimizing user experience (UX) for its web platforms and enhancing the graphic quality of its customer-facing materials, with the support of an external consultant. As this initial phase comes to an end, Beeodiversity is seeking external expertise to sustain and further improve the UX of its digital platform, BeeOapps, over the long term. Additionally, we are looking for support in creating visually appealing and professional customer presentations in PowerPoint format. The graphic direction has already been defined during this first phase, and the work should align with and build upon this established foundation.

Mission

The mission is structured around three key areas:

• Taking over and finalizing the UX refactoring of the BeeOimpact module on our platform (40%).
• Analyzing and optimizing user navigation across the various modules of the BeeOapps platform (40%).
• Taking over and completing the optimization of the graphic materials (PowerPoint) used by our BeeOsol team (20%).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the stakeholders to understand project goals, target audience and user

needs.

• Create wireframes, prototypes and user flows to visualize and iterate based on your proposals, base on the work previously done.
• Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that align with the project requirements, our

graphic charter, and BeeOdiversity’s strategy.

• Propose graphically-optimized PPT designs and prepare PPT templates/masks.
• Work closely with internal developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as UX design expert with accessibility in mind.
• Ability to engage in discussions with various stakeholders to thoroughly understand their individual needs. This role requires the ability to effectively articulate and integrate those needs into the design and functionality of a web platform, ensuring that the solution aligns with both user expectations and business objectives.
• Strong portfolio, demonstrating design skills and previous project work.
• Proficiency in design tools (Figma).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with stakeholders, non-technical and technical collaborators.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Eager to come at the office punctually, to meet the team and work closely with stakeholders.

Availability and start date

We are looking for a passionate and flexible freelance profile.

The work should start as soon as possible. In terms of availability, we expect high availability (3-5 days/week) for the 3-4 first weeks, followed by a lighter schedule (1-2 days/week).
