The Garment Technologist Men (m/f/d) takes responsility for the fit and meet the business standards with regards to quality, fit, construction and standards of manufacture within the critical path of assigned categories.

Your Responsibilities At C&A
  • Be responsible for ensuring all operational and technical fit with taking responsibility for organizing and managing fit sessions to meet critical path deadlines
  • To be main contact partner for supplier for technical fit and sampling process. Communicate all needs to the supplier base in a timely manner
  • Work closely with designers from initial sample stage to production, providing measurement charts based on sketches, original samples and fit comments made throughout the fitting process
  • Create clear accurate product specifications
  • Create graded specs & set tolerances for the bulk production monitoring correct and consistent grade rules
  • Maintain a customer focused approach in understanding of fit and quality issues
  • Take responsibility in project work, initiate it by the company needs and led by the Technical Manager and or Senior Technical Manager

What We Need From You
  • Preferably educated to degree level in textile, manufacturing or engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the apparel industry alongside the design, buying and sourcing departments
  • Expert knowledge of at least three product categories is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of garment construction and patterns
  • Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Technical English is essential, especially in manufacturing and technicalterms in relation to fit and garment construction
