GemOne is a brand new tech company within TVH Holding that aims at developing future-proof solutions for optimal fleet performance management in multiple domains such as: track & trace, operational efficiency, security & safety and service & maintenance. We offer cloud-based solutions and the necessary hardware components to intelligently gather and enrich data of industrial equipment to streamline fleet management related processes.

To support the rapid growth of GemOne, we are looking for a Global Product Purchaser. After an extensive onboarding period of training and support, you will be responsible for the complete GemOne product range, taking charge of the purchase of mechanical parts from suppliers worldwide.

Your tasks are as follows:

You will become intimately familiar with the complete GemOne product range in order to build the best possible supplier portfolio for the different product groups. For example, you will analyze quotes from potential new suppliers and look for new opportunities in cooperation with the R&D team.

You will seek out alternative sources for existing products within the current or future international supplier network.

You will be responsible for all product groups technically, and in terms of quality and availability to the customer. You will follow up every development from order to sale, and make sure that the availability of the different products worldwide is at the right level to serve our customers.

You will take care of setting up the necessary structures to have unfinished products assembled into a saleable product.

You will steadily build your own worldwide network and maintain regular contacts with suppliers, ensuring that the vendor pool is globally aligned.

You will intervene in case of incorrect deliveries and, together with your colleagues, follow up on return requests from customers. You will ensure an optimal customer experience by organizing the necessary transport and setting up the technical inspection by your colleagues.

Requirements
  • You have 3 years of experience as a buyer in an international setting
  • You can read technical drawings.
  • You have demonstrable experience in negotiating with international suppliers.
  • You are decisive, service minded, and have the necessary commercial insight.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. Other languages are a plus.
  • You are willing to travel from time to time.
  • Knowledge of telematics solutions is a strong asset.
