A member of the Inter-Regional Transport Excellence operations team, the Manager is responsible for the flawless operational execution of inter-region transport lanes, managed door-door. This includes day-to-day operational issue management, transportation/logistics coordination, and project management with freight forwarders, shipping sites, and supply planning.

- Develop and execute transportation strategies aligned with the business segment’s objectives and global supply chain goals.
- Lead a team of transportation analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive operational excellence.
- Oversee compliance with transportation regulations and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
- Analyze transportation data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operation excellence and meet expectations.
- Work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure timely and accurate transportation services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, procurement, and distribution, to ensure seamless transportation operations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency and customer service levels.
- Analyze transportation data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Manage and optimize transportation networks, including carrier selection, freight rates negotiation, and route planning.
- Monitor transportation budget and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing expenses within budgetary constraints.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on transportation performance and initiatives.

- Support execution of new lane implementation due to a tender, new lane requirement, new site, launch, etc., and lane optimization on lanes in scope, including assessing lane performance

Required Minimum Education:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
Other:
Required Years of Related Experience: 4-6 years of proven experience in Transportation, Customer Service or Supply Chain. Experience working with highly matrixed global organization required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
(Include Any Required Computer Skills, Certifications, Licenses, Languages, Etc.)
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required with 4-6 years experience
- Experience in a combination of one or more of the following: Logistics, Customer Service or Supply Chain is required
- Experience working in a highly matrixed, global organization is required
- Multi-sector experience is strongly preferred
- Business Development experience is strongly preferred
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the end-to-end supply chain is required
- People Management experience with a track record of developing and building diverse, high performing teams with a strong sense of mission is required
- Track record of delivering results & managing against milestones and deadlines is required
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement approved projects is required
- Budget management experience $2-4MM or more is preferred
- Knowledge of Instantis (or other PPM tool) is preferred
- Knowledge of PMP/LEAN/SIX SIGMA/APICS/FPX/SDLC methodologies is preferred
- FPX, PMP Certification is preferred
