As our Group Sustainability Manager, your responsibilities will include both strategic as operational elements:

Strategic elements
• Advise the executive committee of VPK about sustainability trends and regulatory evolution.
• Ownerhip of a bi annual sustainability session with the executive committee
• Organise competition and peer monitoring on sustainability strategies and policies
• Define, evolve and monitor group sustainability goals over time •
Monitor SDG performance indicators and aggregate group and business unit data

Operational elements
• Animate the sustainability community in the business units and upstream/share relevant information on sustainability linked initiatives •
Steer and create the content for the annual group sustainability report in collaboration with the marketing manager and the energy manager. Supervise external accreditation of the report
• Organise corporate and support the business units in sustainability certification tracks (FSC, Sedex, Ecovadis, C2C)
• Organise CDP reporting

Functie-eisen

•
  • Demonstrated Sustainability experience for at least 5 years in a large industrial environment.

  • • You obtained an Engineering degree.

  • • You are an expert in sustainability. You have built a network in order to keep your knowledge up to date at all times.
    •

  • With your excellent communication skills, you know how to have an impact on teams at all levels in the organization.

  • • You are driven to work, you are self-steering and willing to take responsibility

  • • You speak and write Dutch, English and French fluently with internal staff, customers and external suppliers
