This role is part of the CDSO (Chief Development & Sustainability Office) that leads the implementation of our new 3-year strategic plan Impact24.
The Group Sustainability Officer role reports to the Group Director Sustainability.
- You offer overall support to the GS team. This includes among others subscription to external events and conferences, as well as internal coordination within CDSO team to see where in a transversal manner GS can support the overall functioning of the team and the CDSO;
- You support & coordinate ESG Governance – to this end you:
- set up/support/coordinate ESG Steering Committee & Weekly ESG Coordination Committee incl agenda management + minutes;
- support meetings with regional offices/Opcos/affiliates
- are responsible for document management & support including setting up a library of valuable documents on specific ESG related topics and peers;
- facilitate exchange of documents with Opcos.
- You are the go-to person regarding ESG Ratings:
- You are the point of contact for all ESG rating agencies, and ensure the practical coordination of rating season;
- You support other colleagues involved in rating process
- You collect feedback and introduce input in the rating tools;
- You gradually take over the content build up i.e. identifying and coordinating the completion of missing information with the colleagues and supported by GS team.
- You are responsible for the coordination of the preparation/publication of disclosures:
- You coordinate the publication of new disclosures (e.g. policies, progress reports etc.);
- You coordinate annual update of relevant disclosures (supported by GS team) and more specifically activities related to the annual report (going from layout over translation review and content management plus general coordination);
- You coordinate the process related to non-financial reporting.
- You prepare ESG presentations for the GS team or other internal customers (collate out of existing presentations or prepare new slides). This could enhance presentations to internal teams, events such as AMF but also external conferences;
- You support the GS team in setting up meetings, preparing documents and any other support which could be useful to realise the respective ambitions in the domain of product/climate track;
- You coordinate and support the information feed to Group Communication for both internal and external communication (which includes but is not limited to workplace and other media related tools), as well as to other departments such as Investor Relations when necessary;
- You are the point of contact for the HR team to represent GS in meetings and discuss or come up with new ideas for ESG related challenges;
- You hold a master’s degree and are passionate about sustainability;
- You have at least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a similar working environment;
- You are focussed on delivering quality and have a good eye for details;
- You possess a "can-do" attitude and are a positive thinker;
- You are an excellent communicator and are able to work with people with different backgrounds;
- You are an IT savvy, especially with powerpoint;
- You are able to express yourself fluently in English; Dutch and/or French being a plus
