For a global market leader in the construction, dredging & offshore industry, with head office in Belgium, Schelstraete Delacourt Associates is looking for a Group Talent Director.
In this critical role, you are responsible for the further development and implementation of the Talent Acquisition and Development strategy. You will work out solutions around Onboarding, Learning & Development, Leadership and Talent & Succession management. In fulfilling this strategic role, you keep the best possible employee experience in mind.
You report directly to the Group HR Director. You inspire, lead and coach a team of recruiters and learning professionals - 12 people in total.
You focus on the following responsibilities:
- You give further shape to the strategy around talent sourcing and recruitment of the right talents. You make the company an Employer of Choice, especially for the specific bottleneck functions.
- You contribute to the further growth of the company by quickly and flexibly offering innovative recruitment solutions for new (national and international) projects for customers.
- You are responsible for the L&D strategy whereby you further build on strengthening the learning mindset throughout the organisation.
- You further shape the Talent Management processes (e.g. onboarding, performance management, end-of-year interviews, etc.). You translate your vision into a pragmatic and flexible approach, supported throughout the organisation. In doing so, you also ensure the correct translation to the further automation of it.
- You develop and implement solid training programmes in the areas of personal effectiveness, cooperation and team cohesion.
- You develop and implement a blended learning approach in which digital learning forms a crucial pillar. In doing so, you ensure the strengthening of the didactic competences of our internal trainer community.
- You work on a leadership development policy and develop programmes that further strengthen the leadership capacities of the organisation.
- You give shape to the process around competence and training management. You focus on a pragmatic approach adapted to the needs and reality of the business.
- You follow up the dashboard on intake and development of our talents and derive the necessary insights and actions from this.
- You develop an approach around talent review, career development and succession management. You support the organisation in the further implementation.
Profile:
- You have a Master’s degree and at least 10 years’ experience in HR of which at least 5 years in developing and implementing Talent Acquisition and Talent Development initiatives.
- You are a strategic thinker. From your business mindset, you develop Talent solutions that are an extension of the reality and challenges of the organisation. You are able to distinguish between what is important and what is not and you are able to implement the right priorities in a pragmatic way.
- Strong influencing skills and enthusiasm, in which you succeed in bringing different perspectives towards a supported solution. You have the necessary charisma to make the proposed solutions carry.
- You work closely with various senior stakeholders throughout the organisation. You are a partner with the necessary credibility who, from an inquisitive and listening attitude, is able to provide solutions that add value to the business.
- You have experience in leading a team.
- You have a positive and creative attitude, always with a can-do mentality, whereby you help your team to realise the challenges.
- You are eager to learn and follow external trends within your field of expertise. From here, you translate what is relevant for your own organisation. You think conceptually and know how to translate this in a creative and pragmatic way into a realistic approach.
- You are familiar with HRIS solutions for typical HR processes such as Recruitment & Selection, L&D, Performance Management, Succession, etc. Your logical and process-oriented thinking from the perspective of the internal customer helps you to further shape flexible talent management processes.
