Mission
The Head of Credit Management directs overall transaction approval activities for all segments (WB, BB, PI, PriBa and FIs) within the Risk domain in Belgium. The role is accountable for managing the credit profile on individual clients resulting with credit portfolio in line with the set risk appetite, consistent with defined credit policies across all credit phases.
As a direct report to the CRO and member of the Risk Management Team, the Head of Credit Management has a large impact on credit profile and is epected to play a leading role across a variety of credit risk topics. He/she will interact with leaders of business segments, key stakeholders within Risk and ING Group.
What you will do
- Support CRO in definition of credit risk appetite based on macroeconomic trends, industry sector analysis and portfolio insights
- Being accountable for the overall credit risk assessment and lifecycle, managing risk advice and decisions on individual credit requests to ensure timely and effective credit management in line with the Risk Appetite
- Oversee the application of credit policies and rules consistently across business segments, including proactive management and delegation of credit mandates (both for Front Office and Risk) Responsible for prudent and active management of eposures with first sign of deteriorating credit worthiness in line with developed EWS standards, including managing Watchlist meetings and early detection of potentially problematic e

- Ensure alignment with the bank’s overall risk management framework and business objectives Work closely with other departments (e
- ample Strategic Risk Management) to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management.
- Ensure credit process is fit for purpose and adhering with credit regulation; continuously review and improve to enhance process efficiency and risk effectiveness Develop risk teams to ensure top-notch e

- Proactively scan and formulate views on future risk trends and anticipate them with other Risk Management Team members;
