At Winamp, we are looking for an experienced marketing leader to join us as our Head of Marketing.
Your Responsibilities:
- Craft and implement Winamp’s overall marketing strategy, including hiring staff and allocating resources among the various marketing pillars: Winamp for Creators, Winamp Player and Winamp’s brand identity.
- Drive brand activation and define & implement a communication strategy at the global level.
- Drive Winamp’s brand awareness to the press, music artist community and general public in both a B2C and a B2B dimension, with a consistent and suitable message in both dimensions.
- Provide creative direction and leadership to maximize brand equity.
- Coordinate international market research activities to track competitors.
- Work with senior leadership to continuously refine Winamp’s messaging and positioning in the market.
- Develop global brand positioning, marketing plans and communications.
- Develop and manage execution of digital strategies including website development, SEO, PPC, and social media.
- Drive quality leads through paid advertising, content, events and other initiatives.
- Support the revenue and artist acquisition teams with enablement materials as well as the right brand image.
- Public relations management.
Your profile:
- Education in Brand Management & Communication or in Digital marketing.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- You have 5-10 years of experience in a marketing role, at least 3 of which as a people manager.
- You are an excellent communicator and can easily adapt a marketing strategy to different audiences (B2C/B2B, Winamp player users vs artists vs music labels, etc.).
- Proven track record of designing, implementing and managing a global brand strategy for building.
- Strong experience with global brand specificities (global image vs. localized representations).
- Experience with implementing and running digital strategies (e.g. platform development, SEO, PPC, and social media).
- You enjoy getting your hands dirty and individually contributing.
- You are able to connect marketing activities to revenue results.
- Experience in the music world will be huge bonus points.
- Experience in a business-model platform and/or a scale-up is a plus.
- You speak English fluently, ideally French, possibly Spanish and any other language being a plus.
