We are currently looking for a Head of Product Management to strengthen our team.

Function

As Head of Product Management, you manage the entire product portfolio of Toyota and Lexus. You lead a small team of Product Managers who are each responsible for multiple Toyota or Lexus models. This position directly reports to the Customer Experience Director.

Your responsibilities:

  • Part of the Customer Experience management
    • Contribute to the overall marketing strategy, in collaboration with the Customer Experience Director and other managers within the department
    • Give input to budget setting and further follow-up
    • Build a strong organization
  • Product Management
    • Manage the definition of our models (line-up, specifications)
    • Define the model pricing (compared with the competition) & lead the pricing discussion with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer, i.e. Toyota Motor Europe or Lexus Europe)
    • Identify the Unique Selling Points of our products (communication content)
    • Follow-up competition and the competitiveness of your products, their market performancevs. the objectives set by the organisation and their lifecycle
    • Ensure all of the above are taken up by the team of Product Managers
  • Close collaboration with internal colleagues as well as with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer, i.e. Toyota Motor Europe or Lexus Europe) and dealerships
    • Build a strong relationship with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer, i.e. Toyota Motor Europe or Lexus Europe)
    • Ensure a customer-minded service towards dealerships
    • Closely collaborate with other departments within our organization
  • People Management
    • Plan, set & monitor objectives for the team
    • Motivate the team, ensure members of the team work well together and help them to strive for excellence
    • Support employee development on the job and with training
  • Continuous improvement
    • Continuously search for possible optimizations in processes, procedures and systems/tools

Profile

  • You combine a master’s degree (or equal via experience) with at least 10 years experience in product management.
  • Experience in the automotive sector is an added value
  • You are a real people manager and get energy out of managing a small team.
  • You have a good working knowledge of the familiar MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and of digital tools and platforms in general.
  • Collaborating with other people is in your DNA.
  • You are data-driven, have a sense for analysis and an agile mindset.
  • You have strong communication skills and focus on transparency.
  • You like to take initiative and ownership with the necessary passion and resilience.
  • Bilingual French/Dutch (spoken and written) with a very good knowledge of English
