Role Description

The Head of Sales will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development of the company’s strategic development objectives and leading the development and execution of the annual sales plan in line with strategic objectives.
  • Contributing to the creation and development of long term relationships with strategically important clients, partners and service providers.
  • Developing and managing a global team of local sales representatives in target markets.
  • Creating, managing and successfully closing sales agreements with new clients.
  • Designing, implementing, managing and continually improving the sales pipeline management process and the subsequent periodic pipeline reporting process.
  • Presentation of quarterly sales activities to the Board of Directors
  • Actively contributing to planning and prioritisation of core management functions including product and business development, client services and marketing.

Activities will include:

  • Actively creating access to new target clients across key client segments of Banks, Asset Managers, Auditors, Issuers and Corporations.
  • Executing the end to end sales process from prospecting, to pipeline management, through pricing negotiation and contract closing.
  • Day to day management of the global sales representative team.
  • Gathering value proposition feedback from target clients for contribution to product and service development.
  • Contributing to the creation of marketing and communication materials required to promote the presence and distribution of Greenomy products and services.
  • Creation of content for articles and blogs used on the Greenomy website, related digital marketing and for contribution to industry publications.
  • Developing and executing annual business development and marketing plans.
  • Providing advice and guidance to customers on the integration of sustainability factors into company strategy, policies as well as management and operational procedures.
  • Acting as a company representative, both as a speaker and as a participant at industry events, conferences, seminars and webinars.
  • Training and professional development of all sales representatives.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience working in a direct sales role with 5 leading and developing robust teams, including direct management as well as management of virtual project teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Marketing or related fields.
  • Direct experience selling SaaS, digital, fintech or regtech business solutions in financial services or the industrial sector.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Environment Social & Governance (ESG) and Sustainability topics with experience applying global ESG frameworks, policies and regulations to commercial and financial activities(ESG certifications are an advantage).
  • Deep and broad sales and business knowledge, including solid understanding of financial principles, business case justification, and key performance indicators.
  • Experience in cross functional/departmental alignment and working in matrixed management structures. Proven track record to align and work with Sales, Services, Product, Support and other (internal) business units.
  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills; understanding of how to communicate effectively to a broad audience and at various levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Native English or French speaker - additional European languages are considered an advantage.
