Our Client is a leading multinational Corporation operating worldwide in the industrial packaging sector and, in order to enforce the Management Team in the Belgian Operations Plant, they’re looking for an HR and Payroll Country Coordinator - Belgium.



Position:

S/he has a proven experience in Manufacturing, is able to manage people and supporting the local top management, with the ability to multi-task, think and plan ahead while establishing strong relationships within the Company and possess a solid 360° HR knowledge, including employee relations, development, recruiting as well as communication skill. Additionally S/he will support the Group HR Director in the implementation of Corporate projects, guidelines, Policies, procedures and being the voice of the site as a bridge between the local organization and the HQ.

Main duties and tasks:

  • Being the HR and Payroll Key Person for the Belgian Plant, monitoring and verifying all the data, numbers and reports about the local Company Payroll system, in coordination with external Payroll services suppliers and Partners who will support s/he in the process;
  • Responsible for HR strategy in the Belgian Plant, following defined and agreed projects;
  • Support and provide strategic insights to top teams regarding succession planning, turnover trends, talent retention and employee relationship issues;
  • Lead the Talent and Performance Cycle within the Operations and Payroll Department with a focus on career and talent development;
  • Lead people initiatives, including all kinds of cultural and transformational agendas, as well as internal and external engagements (EVP, Unions, etc.);
  • Responsible for employee relations in Operations, directly responsible for HR, Labor and Union Relations processes;
  • Reporting directly to the Global HR Director with a dotted line to the Operations Manager;
  • Responsible for ensuring a healthy and sustainable relationship environment with employees; a strong union relations strategy, a best-in-class facilities management (health and safety / cafeteria / social area and well-being strategy), acting as a reliable business advisor;
  • Conducting the Career and Succession Programs, with direct role in decision making, ensuring the analysis of the talent pipeline and corrective actions;
  • Support leadership and strategic business decisions;
  • Acting in corporate change processes: structures, processes, people: Sale of the Graphics Unit and closing of the Factory, through "Change management" methodologies;
  • Identification of opportunities for improvement, through the development of customized projects for the functional areas, following corporate guidelines and guidelines defined by the HR expertise centers.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible HR/People Management roles;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms;
  • Languages: Dutch and English fluency will be considered stricktly mandatory
  • Solid working knowledge of best practices in all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compensation, employee relations, learning and development, human resource information systems.
