We are growing our Benelux team and would love for you to join us if you are passionate about and energized by HR admin tasks, processes, and employee lifecycle topics.

As HR Assistant, you will take ownership of local administrative HR processes and support the local HR Business Partner with site topics. Your remit will span our Market Business Unit (67 FTE) and 5 Lego Brand Retail stores in Belgium and the Netherlands (120 FTE). Based in Brasschaat, you will work in a driven, caring, and fun environment!

Core Responsibilities

You will manage the administration of end-to-end employee lifecycle topics with the support of our Shared Service Center and external payroll provider. Your role will entail:

  • Validation of employee contracts and addendums.
  • Be the first point of contact for payroll (NL, BE), support filing of CAO 90 bonus plan.
  • Admin and support for long-term leaves (family, sickness).
  • Execution of benefits for employees such as presents, rewarding letters, enrollment and offboarding.
  • Pro-active continuous improvement of processes and policies.
  • Admin of invoices, and ad-hoc admin support for the department.
  • Creation and update of employee handbooks.
  • Delivery of HR related reporting.
  • Any other tasks that support our priorities e.g. Workday

The LEGO Group`s People, Operations & Development (PO&D) organisation includes 4 main areas: Talent, Reward & Insights, Diversity & Inclusion and Partnering & Operations. You will be embedded within a local team of 3 in Benelux as part of the wider P&O Operations Nordic & Western Europe team. Our purpose is to support the Nordic & Western Europe regions with HR Operational activities and local benefits. We also act as competence center and support to our Business Service Operations (BSO) in Kladno, who handles transactional topics such as general Payroll and Masterdata.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Experience with Dutch labour law and employee relations is a requirement (any other labour law is beneficial).
  • Relevant work experience in a similar position (international/matrix organization is ideal but not a must).
  • You are experienced advising leaders on end-to-end employee lifecycle issues.
  • Capable of communicating with partners across all levels and areas.
  • Any experience with payroll is a plus but not a requirement.
  • An excellent eye for quality and detail.
  • Apply a data driven and structured approach.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English.
  • Excellent MS office skills.
