JOB SUMMARY

As an HR Manager, with base location Leuven, you drive the people & culture agenda within the Benelux. We have about 250 employees in Belgium (200 in Leuven, 50 in Gent) and 100 in Netherlands (Soesterberg and Budel), spread over 4 entities.

You will lead a small, enthusiastic HR team and will be working closely together with managers and staff within a fast growing and positive environment.

In this job, you are a trusted strategic partner, coach, and change agent to the local Site Leadership and all employees. You are responsible for the full HR cycle, from recruitment to onboarding, payroll, comp & ben, employee relations, etc. You ensure local compliancy and are in close contact with corporate (US) on different global initiatives. You report to the HR Director EMEA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You develop, manage and coach a team of HR professionals while keeping team spirit, care for each other and humor as important team values
• You build open and trust-based relationships with business leaders. As sparring partner, you support and advice on all HR related matters
• You like recruitment and selection to be part of your role
• You review, update and monitor HR policies and handbooks ensuring these are in line with the current employment law and company’s values
• You challenge existing processes and are always looking for improvement
• You are experienced in Belgian comp & ben and tax optimization or interested to dig into it
• You will get many opportunities of implementing global initiatives in close cooperation with corporate (US) colleagues
• As part of the EMEA team, you interact closely with your European colleagues who are looking forward to welcoming you in the team!

PROFILE

• Master degree in HR, economics or social sciences
• You have minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably as HR Business Partner or HR Manager in a dynamic fast paced organization
• You are people oriented and result driven
• You have a positive mindset, are pragmatic and can deal with changing priorities
• You can research, evaluate and make recommendations
• You have strong knowledge in Belgian labour law and HR legislation, Dutch labour law is a plus
• Ability to travel occasionally to the Netherlands
• Excellent knowledge of English both written and spoke
