About Our Client

Our customer is a well-known family owned company active in the food industry which produces a wide range of popular products operating with very modern production lines. The company employs around 80 people in Belgium and is located in Temse.

Job Description

As HR Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • You define and implement the HR strategy for the company; you accompany, support and drive organizational changes aiming at bringing the company to the next level.
  • You detect areas of improvement and take the necessary initiatives and actions around recruitment & selection, compensation policy, well-being, talent management, performance management…
  • As local HR expert, you advise business leaders on all HR related topics: social legislation changes, Labour Law, Health & Safety, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Performance Management…
  • In order to increase the efficiency of the HR department, you think about automating or digitizing HR processes when possible
  • You act as a real Business Partner towards all employees and act as single point of contact for HR related questions
  • You coach and guide the HR assistant who is in charge of the personnel and salary administration
  • You oversee payroll related activities and are responsible for the Compensation & Benefits program within the company

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate can demonstrate the following skills:

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent by experience
  • You have more than 5 years of experience in a generalist HR position involving soft and hard HR responsibilities.
  • You demonstrate experience working in a company having a production center / manufacturing site employing blue and white collars.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, any other language is an asset
  • You have a very good knowledge of the Belgian social legislation allowing you to quickly answer HR related questions (or know where to find the answer)
  • You are autonomous and enjoy setting up policies and processes
  • You can show proactivity in your day to day work and dare to take initiatives when you identify areas for improvement
