Antwerp Distribution and Products Operations (ADPO) was founded in 1988 as a Belgian, private and family -managed company. On the left bank of the river Scheldt in the Port of Antwerp an integrated chemical distribution complex of 15 ha was constructed. ADPO was the first company that combined all aspects of physical distribution for liquid bulk products on one site. In 1999, AFC (transport division of ADPO) was established in order to offer our customers the full supply chain concept. ADPO strengthened its position in conventional cargo handling, forwarding and warehousing with the acquisition of two well-established companies, both active on the right bank of the river Scheldt in Antwerp.

  • Develop and follow up the personnel policy.
  • Attend the Staff, operational and CPBW meetings.
  • Lead and take minutes at the personnel platform with management and the plant manager
  • Monitor and communicate procedures related to salary, leave, illness, other absences, bonuses, etc.
  • Coordinate with external organizations such as Mediwet, unions, interim offices, Social Secretariat, insurance company (hospital insurance, group insurance, and certain IPT’s) etc.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection procedures. Welcoming and accommodating new employees.
  • Organize internal communication towards employees as well as being the HR point of contact for staff at all levels
  • Hold, or attend (if appointed), performance reviews. Determining the training policy in consultation with all departments through internal and external training courses.
  • Direct and monitor the medical examinations. Coordinating any festivities and incentives in consultation.
  • Arrange the outflow (dismissals, outplacement, exit interviews, etc.) and any reorganizations.
  • Direct and back up the timekeeping and payroll processing: white-collar workers, blue-collar workers, drivers and temporary staff.
  • Report and help to stop unsafe work situations.

As ADPO has set a clear remuneration policy for its independent managers, the daily fee for the level of this position is set at 550€/day, taking into account 220 working days per year.
