For our Zeebrugge LNG terminal (see the map here) we’re looking for a Industrial ICT Engineer (m/f/x).

The Zeebrugge LNG terminal is Northwest Europe’s gateway for supplies of LNG (liquefied natural gas). LNG unloaded at the terminal can be redelivered for consumption on the Belgian market, trading on the Zeebrugge Hub or transportation to other end-user markets in any direction: France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Southern Europe and the UK.

responsibilities

• Together with your colleagues on the Automation team, you will be responsible for configuring, programming and implementing PLC and DCS/SCADA systems
• You will design and implement HMI process displays
• You will make adjustments to existing equipment
• You will manage physical/virtual servers and workstations and associated network infrastructure
• You may also be required to be on call, where you will help rectify faults to ensure continued efficient operation

About you

For this role, you have:

• An A2 degree or bachelor’s degree in electricity, electronics, industrial automation, computer science or equivalent experience
• Preferably at least three years of experience in an industrial process environment, but this is not necessary if you can demonstrate strong commitment and motivation
• A very thorough understanding of the configuration, programming and breakdown of computer, PLC and DCS networking
• A very good knowledge of industrial IT and a solid command of the MS Office package
• A critical thinking ability that takes your problem-solving skills to the next level
• A proactive attitude that enables you to function both in a team and individually
• A very good command of Dutch and a good knowledge of English

Additionally, this role requires:

• Willingness to work in a shift/on-call system
• To live maximum 30 minutes away from our Zeebrugge LNG terminal
• A category B driving licence
