Who are we looking for? We want a highly motivated scientist with a Graduate Degree in life sciences related to our space (nutrition, biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, …) to join our young team early on. A PhD in a subject that is relevant to our food investment focus is a significant plus.

As an investment associate, you will:

  • Do deep-dives in emerging technologies, industries and companies to give the team a clear view on the state of the art and on the position of the relevant players
  • Source and screen startup companies that match Thia Ventures’ investment strategy
  • Work as part of the team in the evaluation of investment opportunities together with industry experts
  • Assist investment managers in executing transactions
  • Support portfolio companies in their development

What you bring:

  • Graduate degree (PhD, Master or equivalent) in nutrition, biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, …
  • (Intellectual) love for our space of biotech x nutrition x health
  • Notions of finance appreciated, at least some interest
  • Outstanding analytical thinking, ability to prioritize and manage many tasks in parallel
  • Full written and spoken fluency in English (French and/or Dutch are a plus)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a natural team player
