Function

Mission :

The Investment Controller provides Group management, divisional managers and project managers with the support and financial data required to manage NLMK Europe’s investment projects so that they are completed on time and on budget and deliver the expected results.

The Investment Controller will work within the PMO department to carry out the investment control activities of NLMK Europe and to carry out the budget control and cost forecasting activities of the projects.

General Activities:

• Coordination of monthly closures (including ensuring compliance with procedures and timetable);
• Consolidation of investments (collection and centralization of all financial data relating to investments)
• Controlling the correct use of budgets;
• Monitoring the implementation of investment projects;
• Implementation of corporate project management standards in the production units (B.U.) and monitoring of their performance;
• Preparing investment reports according to corporate standards;
• Informing project managers and sponsors of project performance and KPIs
• Training and development of project team members;
• Development of tools to assist managers in the delivery of their projects;

Managing the project knowledge base, analysing results, sharing experience of PM (Projects Management) best practice.

Profile

Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent

Proven experience in corporate investment control and project cost control

Hard skills

• Good knowledge of fundamental accounting principles
• Audit experience
• Compliance orientation
• Data management skills
• Proficiency in accounting software (knowledge of SAP is an advantage)
• Analytical skills
• Prepare various reports for project budget control and cost forecasting
• Fluency in French (min. C1) and English (min. B2)
