For its IT department based in the European Head office in Belgium, Oudenaarde, Samsonite is currently looking for a result-driven
IT Retail Support
As a dynamic member of the IT team in a multinational environment, you will be responsible to support the retail, omnichannel and other applications in the digital world. You will explore new environments with the latest new software’s.
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Work directly with store personnel and operational management, to support retail and infrastructure.
- Promptly resolve IT issues in the areas of retail, omnichannel, CRM, Order Management, …
- Work closely together with internal IT project managers and subcontractors.
- Make professional recommendations aiming at enhancing the end user experience.
- Monitor the general behavior of daily processes and in cooperation with the team members, closely follow up incoming tickets and calls in order to give a good level of service and support.
- Integrate and implement new processes and solutions into the existing system landscape.
- Develop and maintain detailed and transparent documentation to offer adapted professional support.
- Constantly provide relevant feedback to the appropriate internal teams, both to business and IT experts.
- Support the roll-out of new projects or changes to existing processes.
- Be eager to learn new platforms in the area of retail POS software.
- Have a background in IT.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell, Python), SQL, servers & networking, hardware & drivers… is a plus.
- Have experience with monitoring and log ingestion tools (Splunk, Microsoft Power Apps) for maintaining automated processes.
- Be proficient in English.
- Be highly customer-service oriented.
- Be a team player and able to work in a multinational environment.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
- Be proactive and demonstrate problem solving skills.
- Be result driven.
