Mission Statement

We are looking for a motivated Accounting Assistant to support the Finance team by maintaining the integrity of the financial accounting rules and compliances for 13 Buckman entities. As the Accounting Assistant, you will be integrated in the Accounting team where collegiality and teamwork sound obvious to you, which translates into taking initiative to help your colleagues with the daily work.The Accounting Assistant must be a self-starter, has high energy levels with a proven ability to meet and exceeds the accountabilities as listed below:

Expectations For The Role

Perform all AP (accounts payable) transactional activities for all Buckman EMENA companies:
  • Process all relevant and approved AP invoices;
  • Process all bank statements for all Buckman EMENA companies;
  • Prepare payment batches;
  • Handle supplier requests and create new suppliers;
  • Verify and pay expenses in Concur and update (purchase order tool);
  • Cleaning supplier aging;
  • Prepare VAT declarations.
Minimum Requirements To Apply
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Approximately 2 years of financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in an international environment is a plus);
  • Experience in US GAAP (experience in any other European GAAP is a plus);
  • Experience working with SAP and/or Concur is an asset;
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office with excellent Excel skills, BI-tools, ...);
  • Being accurate, accountable, positive and result driven;
  • Strong communication, planning, organizational, problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills.
