As anactuarial (senior) Manager you will be part of our dynamic team of specialists comprising life, non-life and employee benefit actuaries.

We’re passionate about what we do because our role goes far beyond performing actuarial analysis and regulatory compliance implementation. We help our insurance client navigate the many industry challenges by providing actuarial insights, leveraging our extensive knowledge of the insurance industry, Deloitte’s multi-disciplinary model and our international network. Through our projects and various roles (1st, 2nd and 3rd line of defense and transactions) - We help our client develop informed and insightful decisions allowing them to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities.

You will

• Advise our clients in a wide range of projects in the insurance industry which includes IFRS 17, Solvency II (Pillar 1-2-3), actuarial function, pricing and product development, ALM, Risk management, quantitative models development and review, Capital optimization, financial reporting, transactions (M&A).
• Drive the delivery of designated engagement, including leading the approach and the project team, liaising with various stakeholders and managing the implementation of the agreed deliverable
• Lead the business development of our constantly growing actuarial and insurance advisory practice
• Grow your internal network with actuarial peers and with other Deloitte professionals, both nationally and internationally
• Take up responsibility in leading and training our FSI team members by serving as a career counsellor, training junior and senior consultants and providing timely and specific performance feedback;

Let’s talk about you

• You obtained a master degree in actuarial sciences (or equivalent qualification)
• You have at least 6 years of working experience in the insurance industry or as a consultant in at least one of the following areas:
• Actuarial Modelling (e.g. Prophet, Remetrica, ERMS, Igloo,…)
• Implementation of regulatory requirements (Solvency II, IFRS 17, IFRS 9)
• Valuation of technical provisions (BGAAP, IFRS and/or Solvency II)
• Risk Management (QRT, ORSA)
• Pricing
• Asset Liability Management
• Data analytics and Predictive modelling
• You have good programming skills (E.g. Python, R, SAS, VBA, SQL,…) and/or experience using data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, Qlik,…)
• You have a strong critical and analytical mindset
• Your approach is client and result oriented and you have excellent social, communication and presentation skills
• You have a good business acumen of the insurance industry and show interest in the business challenges that the industry faces.
• You have inclusive, creative, enthusiastic and flexible attitude and are great team player
• You can express yourself fluently in English, Dutch and/or French
