About The Role

As an Application Officeryou are responsible for your lab projects that can be application focused but also new developments. This includes independent planning, control and coordination. Our main markets are coatings, inks, thermoplastics and greases.

Duties include working in close cooperation with our global teams in Europe, the US and Asia. Professional customer support in Europe for current and new products, their commercialization and testing. Also have remote and onsite presentations for customer on results and potentially general ones.

Help promoting the company and products at shows, association meetings etc.

Furthermore, the role supports production on scale up and QC tasks and gives technical support in complaint handling.

About You

As an Application Officer you are eager to hands on learn about the products and their application. You are creative in problem solving for customers and have the necessary skills to set up projects and establish the necessary test methods. Your communication skills help you to connect to customers and colleagues in Europe and globally.

With a self-starting attitude you question the status quo and help to grow the knowledge base of our products and applications.

Requirements to Succeed in this Role

• Bachelor or master’s in chemistry, or equivalent based on experience
• Min. 3 years experience in application development and/or technical service in the coatings, inks, lubricants or thermoplastics industry
• First customer contacts can be beneficial
• English at an advanced level/Dutch a plus
• Adaptive to change
• Desire to grow personally and the company
• Curiosity
