Our Position

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of one of our productions departments. In this department, self-adhesive coated rolls of protective film are processed and packed.

You will be in charge of 3 Team Leaders that manage a collective group of about 25 Operators in 3 shifts (2 morning / afternoon shifts, 1 fixed night shift).

As Assistant Manager, you will ensure the department operates effectively according to the Nitto values, standards and guidelines and manage the overall workflow. You will coach and support the Team Leaders in managing and leading their teams, while staying in close contact with the Operators. You will facilitate and contribute to an effective collaboration with the supporting departments such as Planning, Maintenance, Quality, etc. Together with Customer Service, you will handle customer complaints and take corrective actions when necessary. You strive for continuous improvement in the fields of safety, quality, turnover, productivity as well as in teamwork to achieve the departmental objectives. You will regularly set up department meetings and use supporting techniques such as 5S, Kaizen and FMEA.

You will work closely together with and report to the Manufacturing Manager of the department.

Your Profile

• You hold a technical oriented master’s degree (or a bachelor’s degree with experience in leading teams).
• You have strong analytical and organisational skills.
• You are eager to learn and have an entrepreneurial attitude.
• You are a “leader by example”.
• People management is one of your strengths and gives you energy.
• You are customer-oriented and aim for constant improvement.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, 1-to-1 as well as in group.
• You have strong computer skills in which you can further develop yourself.
• Knowledge of SAP and Office programs is considered a bonus.
