Job Purpose and Impact

The Assistant Production Manager Weekend will supervise all daily operations running during a shift. He will be held responsible for operators’ performance and compliance to standards for safety, food safety and quality. He will be responsible for short-term resources planning as well as for the on-field follow-up, training and development of a team of operators. The Assistant Production Manager Weekend will work 12 hours per day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure compliance to safety, food safety and quality standards
  • Assist in execution of day-to-day activities to ensure smooth operations, planning adherence and quality of work.
  • Make short-term resources planning, handle holidays requests, validate operators’ time sheet
  • Mentor and coach operators: participate in the hiring process, responsible for performance reviews, highlight training gaps and needs, motivate and communicate vision from the management
  • Troubleshoot basic issues under direct supervision, either technical or people-linked, and escalating to appropriate level when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Effective communication and team development skills
  • Computer literate
  • Previous experience as team leader in a production environment
  • Fluent in French

Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean six sigma experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of English
