The Associate Director, Business Growth, Innovation & Advocacy (BGIA) Strategy & Operations will be responsible for contributing to the business operations and decision support functions of the BGIA team.

This role will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of the BGIA function. This includes assisting with organizing and setting agendas for quarterly Town Halls and providing support to the DSL for BGIA Leadership and Extended Leadership team meetings. The Associate Director will further work closely with the Finance Department as a key Strategy & Operations point of contact to help develop and align on key resourcing decisions. This includes analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, the Associate Director will assist in the development and implementation of processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Associate Director will also be responsible for communicating updates and progress to the Director, as well as provide additional support to the Director as needed.

Primary responsibilities:

Assist with preparation of materials for BGIA Leadership Team (LT) and extended LT meetings, defining the agenda, preparing materials, and capturing minutes / key takeaways

  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive BGIA team strategy, as shared through G&Os, quarterly BGIA town halls, and other forums
  • Partner with the BGIA Portfolio, Planning and Resourcing and Business Planning & Workforce Management teams to oversee accurate global resource management and optimize resource / budget utilization (planned vs. actual)
  • Develop and leverage a deep understanding of applicable process / systems infrastructure (e.g., Planisware, 1-supply, Resource Allocation Management, Beacon etc.), acts as an expert and provides advice / solutions to guide
  • Leverage appropriate reports and provides oversight to ensure quality of key business data (e.g. Time Reporting, 1-Supply, etc.)


  • Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

    Required:

    • 8+ years of experience with a minimum of 5-7 years experience in a business planning and/or functional management role in clinical operations or relevant field
    • Strong financial acumen and experience aligning business plans with financial goals
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient stakeholder management abilities
    • Experience working in a global, matrixed team
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions
    • Capacity to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
    • Experience in working in cross-functional teams – change management experience in driving complex, significant transformation efforts
    • Up to 10% travel – Domestic & International

    Preferred:

    • Experience in business operations in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
    • Experience in strategy and operations or functional management in large complex organizations

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550

    • The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

    • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
    • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year
    • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
