Role/Responsibilities

As an Associate Product Analyst in Moody’s Analytics (MA) Data Solutions Product Strategy team, you will be working alongside product managers, subject matter experts, Customer Support and other operational teams to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives that drive Orbis’ revenue growth

The candidate will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the Orbis application life cycle, from feature conception to its deployment and customer enablement.

Our Orbis database is the world’s most powerful comparable data resource on private companies, with information on around 400 million companies across all countries.

Specific responsibilities for the position may include:
  • Under supervision solicit and collect feedback from internal stakeholders and clients to help define the business requirements for new releases.
  • Act as a liaison between the engineering, program management and research teams to facilitate understanding of the design requirements.
  • Supporting Business Requirements activities by providing end-to-end analysis for product and initiatives with respect to data requirements, data flows, data modelling, workflow context and design, and user interface designs within and across Moody’s systems
  • Support resolving requirements conflicts between business units or between business and technology.
  • Ensure that new features are implemented according to specification and problems are corrected.
  • Assist in providing content and reviewing documentation for release or new features.
  • Support training activities on the technical and analytical aspects of the product.
  • Assist in providing client product support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors required, master’s degree in Finance/Banking /Computer technology or a related field preferred.
  • Typically requires at least 2 years of analyst experience in the financial services or IT industry.
  • Comfortable with supporting the needs of multiple teams, ‎systems, and products.
  • Hands on experience working with Python (or other comparable language) and SQL.
  • Ability to coordinate and assist large teams in resolving complex analytical issues.
  • Practical knowledge of the Agile scrum framework.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Any experience with AWS cloud services ( EC2, S3, RDS, Athena or comparable cloud service) is a plus.
