Function

Do you want to be part of creating the production process for the next generation of Barco products, from top-of-the-line Healthcare monitors to the most advanced laser projectors on the market today?

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to develop our new production systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will set up new production cells with robotics, motion & vision systems
  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of existing processes.
  • You work closely together with R&D to review our product designs to help producing our products in the most efficient way possible.
  • You will work with a variety of tools & methodologies: EPLAN, TIA portal, Halcon, Open CV, camera & optical systems, 3D printers, proto-workshops and access to worldwide suppliers.
  • You are part of a dynamic team that will help you to get you up to speed quickly.

Your Profile
  • You have a Master’s degree in Engineering - specialization in automation is a plus.
  • Young graduates are welcome to apply!
  • You have experience in image processing and affection with industrial camera systems
  • You have knowledge of:
    • Industrial automation (Siemens PLC, motion control, robotics, visualization, …)
    • 1 or more programming languages (e.g. IEC SCL, Python, C#, C++, .net, scripting languages, …)
    • Creo or another CAD package is a plus
  • You gain energy from creating and implementing creative and innovative solutions.
  • You are positive, assertive and you have a “can do” mentality
  • You always challenge the status quo
  • You communicate fluently, both written and spoken, in English and Dutch.
