The EOC Group develops compounds, latices, adhesives, surfactants and emulsions in production units in Europe and Asia. EOC Group offers a wide range of high quality products for the textile, carpet, construction, automotive, non-woven, paper cardboard, paint, adhesive, detergents and cosmetic industries.

There are 8 divisions with production and distribution units all over the world yet with the flexibility of a medium-sized family business, staffed by passionate and enthusiastic people. Therein lies the secret behind the strength of the EOC Group.

Position

The main goal of this position is to seek business opportunities and keeps track of customer contacts and sales processes in order to further develop the Hotmelts divisionwithin EOC.

This person takes charge of the division, further expands the market and realises growth.

Responsibilities

  • Mapping the Hotmelts market and building relationships with customers in Europe. He/she is also in close contact with his/her colleagues to put the division on the map.
  • Is responsible for the management and follow-up of the customers.
  • Maintains frequent contact with customers
  • Visits distributors and trade fairs
  • Acts as point of contact for customers
  • Carries out preliminary prospecting in order to increase the customer base
  • Supports the sales team in the Europe region
  • Is responsible for the preparation, execution and follow-up of the sales process.
  • Prepares quotations.
  • Follows up payments/open invoices and takes appropriate measures to ensure that sales agreements are met.
  • Follows sales realized through Sales Administration.
  • Supervises not exceeding credit limits.
  • Works in consultation with the functional manager and the R&D Department to meet the needs of existing and new customers.
  • Investigates new markets and product opportunities by responding to customer needs and inquiries.
  • Consultation with R&D Department to enable them to orient their research
  • Promotion of newly developed products
  • Closely monitors the organisation’s market position: keeps a close eye on the positioning of competitors and their products
  • Is responsible for the prompt and adequate handling of complaints.
  • Point of contact for customers in the event of technical problems
  • Provides advice and assistance to the customer in cooperation with the Technical Service Specialist and the R&D Division.

Profile

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Chemistry or equivalent through experience.
  • Extensive experience in a commercial environment.
  • Experience and technical knowledge of Hotmelts is a must.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (+ frequent travel to HQ and production unit in Belgium)
  • Commercially strong, independent and flexible.
